Xbench 3.0

This is a list of tutorials for work with Xbench version 3.0, which works with languages with Unicode scripts, i.e. it can read Cyrillic, Greek and Arabic scripts as well as characters used in Southeast Asian languages, etc.

Its spell checker contains a greater selection of languages than Xbench 2.9 (namely 48 languages) and is able to read XLIFF files from various CAT tools.

It also offers a more detailed check of segments than version 2.9. For example: URL mismatch (errors in URLs), Unpaired symbol (one of a pair of symbols is missing => parentheses), Numeric Quotes (one of a pair of quotes is missing) and so on...

Apart from the programme as such, there is also a plug-in available for Trados Studio, which makes it possible to automatically load bilingual files, dictionaries and translation memories from an active project in Trados directly to Xbench. This plug-in works for Trados Studio 2014 SP1 and higher.

Version 3.0 is subject to an annual fee but allows a 30-day trial period. After the trial period that programme will require purchasing a license.
