Welcome to the tutorial for downloading and installing Xbench.
Apart from the programme as such, there is also a plug-in available for Trados Studio, which makes it possible to automatically load bilingual files, dictionaries and translation memories from an active project in Trados directly to Xbench.
Download the programme from www.xbench.net; in the upper menu click Download (1).
On the Download page you can see that for version 3.0 (1) there are two types of installation, namely 32-bit and 64-bit (2). Select the version compatible with the installed version of Windows (you can find it in computer properties) and click Download (3).
If you use Trados Studio 2014 SP1 or higher, we recommend downloading the ApSIC Xbench Plugin for SDL Trados Studio 2014/2015, which will allow you to automatically load files and dictionaries from Trados projects to Xbench. To download the plug-in click Download (4).
